Many of us feel stressed, worried or fearful regarding things in our lives. Realistically we should not be people of worry or fear.
God’s ways are not of fear and worry.
That is not just a good sounding statement. Matter of fact, scripture takes it further. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Not only are we not to
fear, we should have a spirit of power, love and of a sound mind. That does not sound like God wants us to stress or worry about our lives.

Actually, much of the stress and worries we have in life are self-imposed. Way too much
credit is given to the devil in our testimony services. I remember as a kid one sweet saint who would stand up almost every Sunday and go on praising the works of the devil. How the devil broke her car down and made her son do dumb things. We often give the devil way too much credit. Most of what happens in life is either just life itself or our own negligence.

Now where the enemy comes into this picture is he uses those moments to convince us that God does not love us or to play on our
emotions and oppress and depress us. We
should take hope in our promise from God that He does not want us to have a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Jesus talks in Matthew 6:25 about us not worrying about the basics of this life.
If He feeds the animals and clothes the fields with flowers then how much more does He care about us and our needs?
God will always provide for His people. The next time you begin to worry quote 1 Timothy 1:7 and Matthew 6:25 to yourself. God will provide your needs so do not worry.
